So Emir, when you study in under developed country under, an oppressive regime that is afraid of everything, you end up believing in absolutes such as that "triangle" you speak of. But here is the thing; we live in a globalized world, with different levels of education and cultural experiences and interactions.
If we burn the embassy or property of every individual that offends us, we will spend time extinguishing fires and rebuilding rather than building and prospering.
For one to live in this world, one needs to compromise but even more important than that one needs to research and learn rather than assume.

In addition, Ghandi, who has credibility even though he is no Muslim, said if eye for an eye is the motto of existence then we would all get blind!

My dear friend, first of all, this has nothing to do with developped or under developped countries, because it's not biology : its philosophy ! and it goes back to thousands of years ago. And it was given by a greek philosoph! So : wrong assumption !
Second of all, you accuse people because they generalize, while u did the same : supporting what happened is on basically supporting the boycott and the manifestations, not the "stupidity" of burning flags and bombs alerts (that became basic part of the news that you listen to, every single day, and no body gives a shit about it anymore)

anyhow, if muslims and arabs focus on improving their image and positive or even shunning the terrorists and jihadists from the muslim religion then muslims dont have to worry about the rest of the world making fun of our culture or believes.

Because an objectif point of view will consider what happened in Australia, New Zealand, France, Italy, and The US (that's what i could remember for now, and there are much more) when People from those countries Attacked and destroyed MOSQUES, and Islamic centers, just because some terrorists did some bomb attacks like in Madrid and London. So, Assem, did they create a website, or displayed a speech or anything to say that they're sorry ? and that does not express the main public opinion ? NO, they did not ! AD WE DIDNT EVEN ASK FOR THAT, because we know, and as you said, the world is not perfect, so people hae thousand of ways to express their anger ! And let me tell you what's even worst : i've seen in the news that in LEBANON for exemple, the majority of houses and cars distroyed belongs to lebaneese people and not to Western countires representatives, so, those "people" just wanna destroy anything nomatter to whom it belongs, and that shows the level of their education and cultural respect ! And you can learn from the jewish, how to be AGRRESSIVE if needed, to defend your HONOR, if there's no other way to do it! BUT, AS I SAID : THAT'S PART OF THE GAME. And this game is so easy, cause it just needs an official APOLOGY ; verbal or written, BUT THEY DONT WANNA DO IT !!!!!!!

Emir, I liked the caricature on your blog, and I think you make a point in what you say. Muslims have to express their indignation for violating their beliefs, but definitely not the way we saw them doing it on our TV screens.
Remember the movie "the passion of the Christ" The Jewish community called it an antisemit movie, and they made themselves heard. Was there any violence anywhere ? none.
The caricatures were carried by dozens of newspapers all around the world in the name of free speech, why !? because they were shocked by what happened and felt their freedom threatened. Is this the outcome the people who burnt the flags and the embassies wanted to have!? a vicious circle and an escalation from both sides.
It is time we learn how to express ourselves, our ideas and values in a civilized way (like Assem said) and make ourselves respected for that.

Anis!!! The way Assem reacted pissed me off. It's clear that we are all coming from an under developed countries. And the point is that the conversation with Assem was so interesting at the beginning… I thought that he’s kind of open minded people but he confirmed that he has limited perspectives. To be brief I didn’t like the way he talked to Emir; he could use better means of expressions as he did at the beginning. And by the way, all of us are against violence and burning flags. I agree with Emir concerning Boycott; actually it is one side of the freedom of expression ;-) At the end you like it or not the west has some deep detestation feeling toward the Islam. The only difference between us is that the western’s people and western’s governments can get along easily but not in our side. Concerning identity, it’s the biggest wound we do have in our society specially North Africa. Recently I met a guy from the Middle East and he was wondering: Are the Tunisian Arab, European or African? Of course I couldn’t help him! I got a good lesson in the States concerning Identity. You can ask Emir, we learned how to say laud YES WE ARE ARAB AND WE ARE MUSLIM. Anyway, it’s all about point of views and the way to discuss. The subject is sensitive and we should all pay attention the way we discus it. Hasilou the cartoons are everywhere now just to confirm that the Freedom of speech is more important then Muslims feelings and it’s ok for me because some soft punches strengthen instead of hurting :-)
